Illumina® Canine Genotyping Panel
The CanineSNP20 Genotyping BeadChip is a multi-sample array which contains over 22,000 evenly spaced, highly informative SNP probes. It was developed in collaboration with Broad Institute researchers who assembled the CanFam 2.0 genome. The array has an average of eight SNPs per megabase (Mb) to enable researchers to differentiate up to five haplotypes per Mb within breeds. The BeadChip allows genome-wide association studies to investigate the extreme diversity of morphologic, behavioral, and disease variation found within the more than 350 recognized dog breeds.
